Repeater vs WISp repeater
« on: June 24, 2015, 02:56:56 PM »

it WAS my understanding WISP repeater was a configuration to be adopted in order to implement a secondary SSID WiFi network whose Clients had been router over the primary Wifi network (the one we are connecting to). This because DAP 1360 is able to implement DHCP server and DNS server as well.

It is my understanding such a different SSID WiFi network would never be implemented.

That said, my question is: what is the difference among Repeater and WISP repeater ? Only related to the fact that WISP repeater implements DHCP and DNS server (in case you don't have it from incoming WiFi off another WiFi router you are connecting to) ? That would be too less !

I'd appreciate if someone would clarify this to me since I don't see too much differences here.

I'd like origin WiFi network sees 1 WiFi Client (DAP device) ONLY and have my local devices served by a new WiFi network off DAP device (each of them with unique different IP address off DHCP server within DAP). Too complicated ?

Thanks
