I can view my DCS-932L camera from my iPhone using mydlink Lite when connected via my home WiFi. However, when I try to connect via 3G when I'm away from home, it doesn't connect.
I can successfully login, and the app shows my camera with a green check mark beside it, but when I select the camera, the next screen shows a black video window, says "Connecting ...", and then says "Please Check Your Network Settings and Try Again".
I'm not a networking guru, but as far as I know I've set up everything as the installation wizard for the camera suggested. I can access the camera using mydlink from my PC, so it doesn't seem like a camera setup issue.
Any ideas?
Update on 2011-04-20:
I have confirmed with D-Link technical support that the mydlink Lite app requires the camera to be on port 80 which is blocked by many ISPs for residential customers. Therefore, port forwarding cannot be used to get around the blocking. Apparently, the only solution is to set up a virtual server with a public port 80 and a private port 800. Unfortunately, my Telus-supplied Actiontec V1000H router does not have virtual server capability, so that option isn't available.
My solution is to use the Live Cams app from the iTunes store. It works great, both on WiFi and on 3G, with port 800 forwarded to the camera's IP address.

Thank you for that post, I was just going through the same thing.
Which Live Cams app did you use? There are a bunch in there.
Thank you.

I have the same problem with the mydlink lite app in iphone with my DCS 1130L...not working in 3G but working in WiFi. Dlink support says, use WiFi always(!!!!). The problem with other IP cam app is: there is no audio from camera...only video.

I have dcs-5020 and just noticed it's not possible to access camera by mobile internet.
I guess the easiest solution is if you have two mobiles or mobile and tablet. First makes wifi hotspot and you connect to that wifi with other device. I tried and it's working.

What FW is loaded on the camera?
- What region are you located?

Sorry for a bit late answer. I updated the latest firmware, can't check the version since I'm on mobile for next two weeks. I tried it in Serbia, mts operater. Can't try it here now since I have no sim, using wifi and it works fine.
