Can't wirelessly connec to my Dir-635 router

I recently bought a dir-635 router; it worked fine with wired and a wireless laptop with os xp.  Somehow I was connecting using a window 7 it doesn't work.

This is what the message says when I double click on the 635 router.
"The setting saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirement of the network."
and the connect button is disabled.  It's working fine connecting to random people though.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask about this question because the way it sounds like it's my network setting's problem not the router.  If someone can, please give me a hand? Or would be the best place to post this question?
