D-Viewcam v2.05 Videoproxy Error
« on: February 02, 2010, 04:39:33 PM »

Hey Guys:

I keep getting a 'Videoproxy' pop-up error where it says 'Video Listen port Listen Error'.   I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling v2.03 upgrading to v2.05 with no resolve.    I've noticed the videoproxy.exe file does the same thing when I click on it in the Dlink/bin files.    Should there be something loaded like a .dll that may be missing in start-up?   If so, how do you replace it.

It's just annoying and causes a zillion eye icons in the startup taskbar.

Thanks IA!,

I'm also using a DSC-G900 wireless camera.

Anyone got any solutions here, it says port error so could this be a firewall issue.  I've tried DMZ'ing the computer to no avail.    Please help me resolve this.

Did you try disabling your anti-virus software?

That's funny!

I'd just reloaded McAfee yesterday matter of fact and noticed the error stopped.
Been reading the forums about disabling Anti-virus, but didn't clue in that it would
prevent this error!

Thanks again,
