Hi,

I recently RMAd a faulty DIR 655 A3 EU (all Ethernet and WAN ports dead) and Ive received the DLink UK replacement which is A2 with 1.21EU firmware.

Some observations:

1. The replacement unit is clearly used with scratched undersides from previous owner having wall mounted it and so on.
2. The unit is not behaving as well as my previous 655 as for example certain operations like DHCP reservation and setting administrator password result in the device rebooting with new settings not taking effect.

Where do I stand on these issues? The scratched casing is not a real issue to me but the fact I cannot set the administrative password and other important settings is bugging me.

I have hard reset the device back to factory defaults and also checked for a later firmware release... to no avail.

Thanks in advance,
Ben
