Dear sirs,
on global D-Link site (http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/) you can find the new firmware 1.10 (1229) for both WW and EU users:
1) FW: DCS-942L_A1_FW v 1.10_1229 (ww w/o EU) -> only for WW people (except EU users)
2) FW: DCS-942L_A1_FW v 1.10_1229 (for EU) -> only for EU users.
I suggest you to update the firmware as the new release solves some problems about wrong motion detection and some minor bugs (I'm using the EU firmware since last month).
To know the improvements and bugs solved, please read the attached .DOC file included in firmware links.
I remind you to update the IP cam using only the wired connection (Ethernet cable), please do not use wireless connection or powerline-based connection - I suggest you to connect both computer and IP cam to UPS device in order to avoid any power loss during firmware upgrade.
Enjoy this new firmware.
P.S. We have to check the wish-list in order to delete the wished items solved with this new firmware.

I've just checked again on same internet site, the WW file disappeared, now only EU file remains......
I apologize for this inconvenience, but I don't understand why D-Link deleted the WW file today afternoon (italian time), while it was on D-Link global website this morning (italian time)....
My opinion remains the same, WW users must ask for an updated firmware for DCS-942L IP cam to D-Link.

I ask to all admins of this forum to invite all users to upgrade the firmware (as release 1.00 is really obsolete) to newest one and to put this advice in all FAQs related to DCS-942L cam. Thanks.
