Hello,
I've bought the DCS-8300LH just two days ago to connect it to my synology surveillance station. I was shocked that I was not able to find a web gui nor can't I even set a password?!
Is there no way i can stream the video trough HTTP/HTTPS or RTSP?
Thanks

Unfortunately HTTP/RTSP video/Audio has been removed on the DCS-8xxxLH cameras. ::)

Why??? :o ???
-
Is there no planned possibility to activate this?
-
No plans that I know of. I hope someday they will. All other D-Link cameras do have RTSP support. The 8xxxLH line (except the 8200LH) are app-only with no http/rtsp support.

Thank you for replying - really sad. This makes the cam unusable for me.

Any news on this?
I want to use this camera with Synology Surveillance Station

They pushed out new firmware (1.04.02) for the 8xxxLH series cameras. A couple of them had RTSP/HTTP and some features added but looks like the 8300LH did not get the same update. Hopefully the next firmware release.

I just bought this camera and had no idea it had access removed from the firmware. I'll have to return it as it will not work with my NVR. Another vote for D-Link to update the firmware or I'll have to go to other manufacturers for web cams (I usually purchase D-Link whenever possible)

Please report back what your firmware is and if you were successful.

Here are the information you need to enter to get the RTSP to work with video.
rtsp://admin:<pincode>@192.168.5.145:554/stream1
The pincode is on the ID tag on the bottom of the camera mount. Hope this helps :)
