DPR-1260 no LAN connection
« on: February 06, 2021, 10:54:20 AM »

I found an old DPR-1260 laying around with all my other old network gear, and I'm trying to set it up... The problem is, there doesn't seem to be any activity on the LAN port. I tried plugging it directly to my laptop's LAN port, and it said "Network Cable Unplugged". I tried three different ethernet cables, with the same results. I tried resetting the DPR-1260 to default with the reset button on the back; no change. I have it connected to an unmanaged network switch at the moment. Both are powered on. I know the switch works, because other devices downstream of it work as expected. The switch is not showing activity on the port connected to the DPR-1260, as if there was nothing plugged into it at all. I put the DPR-1260 into a known working port on the switch, with the same results. Has anyone else run into this issue before? I'm open to other suggestions.

I'm starting to suspect that the DPR-1260 just has a dead LAN port, and that I should just give up on it.
