Title: Static Route from DSR 500 to DSR 250 over VPN
Post by: jeepxo on May 26, 2014, 12:31:02 PM
Here's my scenario.
Our main office has an IP range of 192.168.1.x
Satelite office 1 has an IP range of 192.168.10.x
Satelite office 2 has an IP range of 192.168.97.x

I have VPNs set up so that Satelite 1 can access resources at the main office and Satelite 2 can access resources at the main office.

From Satelite 1, I can ping 192.168.1.x IPs
From Satelite 2, I can ping 192.168.1.x IPs

From Satelite 1 I can't ping anything in Satelite 2 and vice versa.

I think I need to set up a static route from 1 to 2 and 2 to 1 but I'm not sure what to put in.
From the DSR500 at Satelite 1, I've gone to Advanced>Routing>Static Route but I'm struggling with what should go in here.

I've checked "Active" and "Private" to obviously activate it and make it a private route.
Destination IP I'm guessing is satellite 2.  I've put in 192.168.97.0 with subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
thinking this would give me the entire satellite 2 ip range.

I've set the interface to WAN
Put in 192.168.10.1 as the gateway
and set the metric to 2

Can't Ping.

Suggestions??

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. Have them remote in if needed and checked the configuration settings.
