Hi,
I have two DCS-932L and I am just trying to add them both to the same myDlink account.
Both camera are setup and work fine on both wired and wireless.
-
When I try to use wizard 1.0.1.1005 to associate the cams to my myDlink, it only allows me to do so if I create a new myDlink account.
Whenever I try to associate to an existing account, the wizard replies "username or pwd are incorrect".
I know for sure that they are correct as I can login to myDlink using the same credentials.
The wizard does this with whatever email address I use to setup the mydlink account.
- When I try to use wizard 1.0.1.1420 to associate the cams, it just doesnt work, as the wizard does not allow me to start the setup process at all. It says at the very first stage "No network detection detected".
Again, I know for sure I am connected as I can send this message and the previous version of the wizard does connect.
Note that in both case I have tried doing all the following on BOTH win XP and win 7:
- reset each cam to factory default
- win firewall de-activated
- UAC deactivated
- antivirus deactivated
- router firewall deactivated
- NAT all cleared on the router
- both cams run the mast firmware 1.02 build 3
I have been in contact with Dlink support since 28Dec, but still no luck.
I am losing hope, I know that both cameras are working very well, and I would just want to be able to associate them to the same mydlink account. Having to log out and change login on my iPad usin myDlink Lite is just a PAIN!
Appreciate any help you could bring folks!
Thanks,
S.

just tried with wizard 1.0.1.1015 (the one for china) and got the same not network connection detected error (or at least it looks like it! :-\ )
-
See if the following procedure works:
(1) Register DCS-932L #1
(2) Physically disconnect DCS-932L #1 from your LAN
(3) Register DCS-932L #2
(4) Physically reconnect DCS-932L #1 on your LAN
Sometimes the Wizard gets confused if it sees more than one camera at a time during the registration process.
-
Yep tried that, whenever I was attempting to register the second cam, I had the fist one disconnected.
I only have one network cable available... :-)
And to reply to your other post, yes I managed to register both cameras with mydlink (to separate accounts), so I know that nothing prevents the actual registration.

Are both cameras listed in mydlink but only one works? OR
Is only one camera is listed on mydlink?
-
Both cameras can individually be registered with myDlink but on 2 different accounts.
The issue is really that I can't register them both on the same myDlink account.
-
You should be able to register both cameras on the same account.
Did you ever register the problematic DCS-932L with mydlink? If the answer is "no", did you purchase the camera as new or refurbished? There are instances where prior owners of a used camera registered with mydlink and the camera needs to be removed from mydlink and re-registered under the new owner.
-
Hi,
yes both cameras can be reigstered to mydlink, but only on different accounts.
I can register them to any account I create, but whenever I try to register one of the cameras to the other camera's account, that fails.
So issue is not with the camera but with mydlink or the wizard which erros when I try to register the second camera to an existing account.

I am having the exact same issue. I have 2 DCS-932L cameras but I can only associate 1 camera with my account... I can associate the other with a different account with no problems but not the same account as the existing camera. Every time it simply gives me the "Please make sure you enter your email address and password correctly" feedback at the last stage of the wizard.
Why is there no way to manually add the camera from within MyDlink?
I am very frustrated by this! I am using the most recent wizard and firmwares... and I have tried wired and wireless, using a different router, port forwarding, static ip's, DCHP and UPnP options...
Has a resolution to this problem been found?
-
I've been looking around for a resolution to this issue, and have yet to come across any new information that I haven't already suggested. You may want to try calling the toll free technical support, which should not be that long a wait so long as your device is still under warranty. If you choose to go this route, please post your results here (if they tell you something we don't already know). I realize this isn't the answer you were looking for, but it's the best I have to offer for the moment.
I agree that there should be an alternate way to add a camera other than using the Wizard. I presume the ability to add a device from within mydlink doesn't exist for security purposes. The absence of this functionality prevents hackers from creating a mydlink account and hijacking cameras. However, there should be a way to add a camera to mydlink from within the DCS-XXX web interface (as a push to mydlink).
-
I have gone through the first level of tech support and they told me that I would receive a call from level 2 sometime tomorrow... Hopefully that is true and even more I hope they have a solution.
I'll let you know how things go but I am feeling pretty pessimistic at the moment. :'(
-
Tech support was utterly hopeless... They didn't do anything at all the rectify the situation. They have told me that it is the fault of my custom firmware on the modem and that because the camera's normally work fine they assume the fault is with mine end. They didn't actually do anything.
I could understand this if either of the cameras were not accessible from the internet or something but everything seems to be working fine expect for adding a second camera to myDlink...
I will go to a mates house and set everything up there with a new modem and ring them again.
:'(
-
Same here,
last suggestion from the support team was that I try from a different computer.
But I have already told them that I have tried from 3 different sets with either XP or win 7, with UAC, firewall and antivirus completely disabled...
Not sure what to do now...
-
actually, i just installed iCam Viewer on my ipad... and surprise, I can see both cameras without any problem!
I am not connecting from my lan, it all goes through my router...
It is just too bad I can not do this with the actual DLink product! (I still prefer the look and feel of myDlink...)

Hi, I'm not sure you got it working, but I had some trouble adding two DSC932L camera's to myDlink account having one camera already DSC930L.
What I noticed is that once the wizard (take the disc for the 932, the disc vor 930 did not recognise the other cams) started, no other cam's connected, that the ip address was wrong. As I am on a different subnet than the standard 198.162.0.xxx, I noticed it defaulted to the .0.xxx . Hitting the refresh or scan again, can't remember, it showed up with the right IP. As I had been fiddling for an hour I choose the option to use the cable connection. And voila it worked, the second cam was added to myDlink.com account.
I then choose the wizard again to add the camera without account (2nd option), it came with a warning that the cam could not make a connection to the internet, just skipped and after a while it was converted to use wifi. Repeated the above procedure for the third cam. I am not sure if it would add the cam with the wifi option during the first wizard run, as I did not notice the wrong ip the first few times.
I couldn't be bothered trying.
Two more things to watch : 1) not sure if necessary but I started the Wizard with admin rights, right click on the install file, run as admin.
2) my router was behind another switch, the notes state somewhere the connection must be made directly to the first router. This was probably also the cause for the delayed IP reservation (DHCP).
Hope it will help someone in near future.
PC used to install Windows 7 64bit.
gr M
I do hope it helps someone as I was nearly ready packing all three cams up to ask for my money back.

Hello all!
I have absolutely the same problem. I successfully assigned my dcs-930l to my myDlink-Account. But as soon as I want to assign a second dcs-932l I get the error message "invalid e-mail and password combination" in the Camera Setup-Utility. But I am 100% sure that the login and the password are absolutely correct!
I can easily setup an second new account for the camera and the camera will be assigned to that new account. But as soon as I want to put two cameras to one account I get this error ...
Any solution for the problem handy?
Thanks,
Michael

Are both DCS cameras assigned to different IP addresses? (static and/or reserved IPs)
-
Updated to the last firmware with both cams and tried many different versions of the wizard but still no luck...
-
This may be a stretch, but are you using the latest Wizard software? There were several builds released for the DCS-932L wizard software.
-
yep, and I get the no network connection error with it...
-
Has anybody come up with a solution for this? I liked the Mydlink system so much that after a week I bought a second camera, only to run into this issue. It's weird, because the cameras both work with separate accounts. I was thinking about getting a mydlink enabled NAS too, but I'm afraid I will need yet another email address.
-
I got the same problem upon trying to add a third camera while 2 already working ok under the same account. I end up resetting all cams to factory default, unregistering the cams from my account, deleting my account and tried everything again from scratch as if I had just purchased all three cams, and it only got worse. Now I cannot register any 2 cams under the same account as I get a unrecognized user/pass error after adding the first cam. This sucks. I`ve seem people complaining about this for almost 1 year now and no solution?!?!
-
Are there other DCS-932L owners (or other DCS model owners) who are also experiencing this issue? Please post here.
-
I bought a second 932L today and had the same problems listed above - invalid email and password combination or no network detected. I kept trying for hours and now it is up and running. Both cameras are now linked under one account. I have both cameras hooked up at the same time and then started the set up wizard. It allowed me to set up the new one and under the same account.
-
Thanks for your contribution. Do you recall doing anything differently that allowed you to finally get both cameras to associate with the same mydlink account?
-
First of all, I have to download the set up wizard to a sd card. Then I retrieved the DCS-932L-2428 folder from there and press auto run. Following the instructions and the 2 cameras will both show up to proceed further. I could not do so without using the sd card. Hope this helps.
-
Forgot to mention I did not deactivate or reset anything.
-
Thanks for the update.

Same problem here... ???>:(
-
I have DCS-1130 and DCS-932.
The problem discussed here is REALY EXIST.
I'm an experienced user and I've been spent hours trying to get it working with no result.
And D-Link is not going to do anything to solve this problem.
E-mail support is useless. They "don't have any problem". What kind of proof D-Link needs to look into this problem??!!!
The "solution" by peter3629 is not working or instructions are not correct.
-
Same problem here. I managed to associate 2 cams to the same D-Link account but I run into the "invalid e-mail and password combination" issue when trying to associate the third camera. All cameras were purchased brand new so no chance of association being locked with previous owner account as suggested here. I tried both wired and wifi connections, always same problem. Only way to get this third camera to work is to associate with a NEW account.
D-LINK could you please comment? This problem has been running for a year now!

I have DCS-942L and DCS-932L using 1 myDlink account. They work fine and I can view both them from the internet. Haven't tried 932L.
Try to use the installer CD from the box.
My 942L CD cannot detect 932L and vice-versa.
-
:'( :'( :'(
Yes there is definitely a problem, having used set up CD to no availa to set up 2 cameras on same account.
So fix well overdue and support attention appreciated, or we need to all escalate with D-Link Management.
Thanks in anticipation support.

Hello D-Link..... are you there?
I have the same problem of not being able to associate 2 D-Link 932L cameras to the same account. I have spent hours trying the posted solutions. No luck. (Thanks! to all you forum participants that have given some much time.)
We can only assume D-Link does not want its customers to refer others to their products. :-\
-
ok, I found out whats the problem (at least in my case)... you cannot have cameras from different regions registered under tha same mydlink account (I bought 4 in the US 2 in europe), even if you load the same firmware (so its a hardware rule). . Explanation found here (and there is no way around for this or a fix):

other people experiencing the same problem:

Please see this link: mydlink.com - Rules for Device Association with Regional mydlink.com Accounts (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=52632.0)
As the prior poster xleo suggested, it's possible that the inability to associate particular D-Link cameras with a mydlink account may be due to the camera's region of origin. I just became aware of this information a few days ago and posted the above referenced sticky post.
Please visit the sticky post above and make sure the region(s) where you purchased your cameras are within the same "site" as the mydlink account you are attempting to associate.
Please post back and share your findings.
As of this posting, I am unaware of any special code or marks on the camera hardware or web UI that can identify the camera as belonging to a particular "site".

Any ETA?
I really can't understand why this still isn't resolved...
I travel alot, and still have to log into several accounts to check every camera?
Must admit, if this isn't fixed in a reasonably timed fashion I will sell all my cameras. Can't really tell I ever will
buy a d-link product ever again if this isn't resolved, can't even tell how many hours i have wasted trying to setup everything correctly!
Hoping D-link will fix this issue :(
-
I haven't received any information specifying an ETA. :-\
-
Alleluja, at least I understand the issue now.
I just can not understand why it took so long to get to the bottom of it (thanks xleo).
When I think of the hours I spent with dlink support going nowhere, what a waste of time...
I have to agree with zem that not having an ETA is frankly not acceptable.
Working in project management, you always have an ETA (and anyway it is ESTIMATED).
So come DLink, show a little more consideration for your customers!

A possible solution is to flash the cams with firmware from the same region, selection your home region as the default. But you take that risk yourself. Just my suggestion.
Don't quote me, but I believe the issue is firmware-independent. Something to do with the cameras themselves.
-
I dont believe firmware update solves the issue as I tried many firmwares for the US based camera (UK / french / hongkong firmware) and I was never able to associate the cam with my account where I have europreans cameras already registered.

D-Link just published a new mobile app called Justconnect+ which may provide some measure of relief. I haven't yet had the opportunity to personally test this app, but from reading the description it seems to associate webcams via direct IP rather than the mydlink service.

I have 4 930L
Two that came with 1.06 and 1.40CD and two that came with 1.02 and 1.40CD.
All 4 upgraded to 1.06. The failing camera was dropped from mydlink. Every thing else works. But no way to get it to mydlink.
One with the 1.02 in the box I reset to try and reinstall D-ViewCam to see if it would allow each camera to be set to a different server by assigning multiple IP's to the server.
I was thinking it needed to start from scratch with mydlink signed on.
The Wizard reached the point where it asks to change the password and fails at that point. It fails there after reset. Reset sets the password to blank. It fails no matter what the password is set to. Installation order from the box was 1.02 , failing 1.02, the two 1.06's.

I found the latest update wizard "Setup_wizard_930L_V1.03.00" in the comments at a retailer.
I did not and could not find this on D-Link sites. The 930L on D-Link showed a 931L link.
The new wizard worked very well and I am back up.

I too was having the same issue as everyone else, but I WAS able to get mine to work.
Some guy posted that he was able to run it from flash (or SD card). I did that as well, but (key difference here), I WASNT getting the option initially to put in mydlink credentials. I think the new wizards can identify if you are already a dlink user.
So my problem is that it would go from selecting my unregistered camera in the dlink wizard, selecting the prompts, it CONFIRMING that I was registered, but then my new camera would never show up.
Again, I was NOT getting the option to tell the wizard what dlink account I had.
So I threw the setup on a flash, went down to another computer that had never been on dlink and ran it from the flash. I was given the prompt, entered in my existing dlink info, and all is working. Good luck.

I have two network cameras: DCS-5010L and DCS-933L and both are working fine if I access them via the IP on the local network 192.168.1.101 and 192.168.1.102
I have only one mydlink account on in.mydlink.com and when I ran the Setup Wizard one by one and they were working via in.mydlink.com however, after I installed DNR-202L to the same mydlink account (all three were working for a while but later) stopped showing these both cameras and only showing the DNR-202L.
Just the DNR is showing on mydlink and not the two cameras: DCS-5010L and DCS-933L
I ran the Setup Wizard again and it shows that both the cameras are already registered on mydlink but I can't see them on the PC browser. On the Android App also the same thing, I can see both the cameras in LOCAL but not under REMOTE and in REMOTE only the DNR is showing.
Can anyone help?
Is there a way to de-register the two cameras from mydlink and then re-add them? Maybe that will work? If not then is there any other suggestion?

Ok, I got the solution:
Basically, one after the other (once for each camera), I went to my two network cameras DCS-5010L and DCS-933L over 192.168.1.101 and 192.168.1.102 and went to the settings -> Maintenance -> System -> Save config to hard drive. And save the present config.
I then did a "Rest to factory settings". Connect the camera via LAN and restored the settings.
Then went to mydlink Android App and it saw the camera as new and then offered to add to mydlink account to which I said yes and then I repeated with the second camera. Now both cameras show up for me in mydlink along with the DNR-202L which was showing up earlier. So all three now show up on mydlink account.
