Good news!

After a few days of testing and going through the Manual, we have found that the DAP-2695 RevA and DAP-2690 RevB US hardware versions, both support the "Band Steering" functionality, but it has been labeled "5G Preferred" under the "Wireless Resource Control" on the NA version of the firmware. Page #26 of the manual describes the setting options available for this function.  See screenshot below:



We hope to fix the label in a future firmware release (no ETA), but for now rest assured the functionality is the same as the one described on the UK site.
