Title: DNS-315 dlna mkv sharing problem

Dear All,

I have problem with the mkv files. If i try to play them on bluray player on netwrok than it starts, but the playing stops near 20 minutes and atfer the player starts the next file to play. What can be the problem?
- The power management is turned to 2 hour power off.

I have Samsung LCD and it hate .mkv and got problem to read... I fond a trick : rename all .mkv to .m2ts  ;)

ex. I rename WALL·E (2008).mkv to WALL·E (2008).m2ts and know it read perfect on my TV  ;D

Thx for the trick, but it isnt, work,. My LG TV and blueray player plays well all formats. The problem only with the DNS-315.

I have noticed something like that too : if a movie is .mkv and if i add a subtitle .srt and copy it to a thumb drive and plug it on the TV, it works well. But if I read from the NAS : no subtitle and sometimes it mostly dont read .mkv.... 

ps : for the subtitle its a known problem from samsung tv decoder

Lg plays everything well only this media server fails

There is no firmware teher is no tricks this has to be take back to the shop and formget D-link :(

Twonky server 0.7 installed with fun_plug got these files playing perfectly on my Samsung tv..

The internal uPNP stuff just isn't up to scratch yet.
