iPad via repeater mode.

How do I connect to an open wifi connection in repeater mode using my iPad?

I assume the only reason you're using repeater mode is because the signal from the hotspot is weak. Otherwise there's little point - I prefer hotspot mode for such things. Anyway, you set the DIR-505 to Repeater mode and plug it in.  Wait a couple of minutes after you see the DIR-505's network become available and connect to it (by default the SSID and password are what's printed on the card supplied and on the DIR-505 itself).  Once you are associated to that network, open Safari and go to dlinkrouter.local  You should then see the DIR-505's network wizard.  Follow it through, have it search for the hotspot and let it connect. Then the DIR-505 will restart.  After it does (and again wait a few minutes), you should be able to connect to the stronger signal from the DIR-505.
