Can I build a view on my TV with d-view?
« on: July 02, 2016, 02:18:15 PM »

Hello there. I am trying to build some view of my D-link cameras on my TV or on a stand alone monitor. What is the best way to do that?  I am using the Mydlink mobile app in order to watch the cameras, but I would like to have it online and all the time available.

Might try putting DVC on a PC and connect up the PC to the TV if it has HDMI or VGA ports, The PCs video HW will be dependent upon what connectors it has and supports. Some TVs have HDMI, DVI and or VGA connectors.

Thanks for your help. I was about to buy the DNR-202L in order to do that, but I realized it doesn't have HDMI output. I am trying to avoid a PC  because it is too big. D-link should a some device to record and play the videos as a media center. I know I can use the Mydlink, but when someone rings my door it takes too long to see through the cameras.

Ya something like that, you might need a more dedicated camera system. I'm having to think about that too since I did a new addition to the house and when we are up stairs away from the main door, we need something to look a the door when someone rings the door bell.  ::)
