Title: GO-SW-8G - power light blinking
Post by: daandi on November 01, 2018, 03:26:51 PM
Good evening,
I am not sure why the only "switches" category is in the "graveyard" of "Products no longer supported" when D-Link is still selling the product in question - so if there is another forum section that is more appropriate please advise me.
My GO-SW-8G switch is simply blinking the power-light about once every second, no other ports have any light indicators.
I tried disconnecting all ethernet cables, power cycle with cables disconnected or cables connected - all combinations of that.
Still no change.

Ironically I just got it out of the box since I first needed it now but bought it quite a while ago.

Is this a known problem? Can it be fixed? Or do I have a DOA device?

Check the power adapter voltage and amps at the tip.
Other than this, you probably need a another switch. I recommend the DGS108/105 series. A bit more robust.

If in the US, call 1-877-453-5465 for tech support to issue an RMA.
