Hi. I'm connected fine to my 932L camera but i can not open neither video windows in both programs/browsers? The plugin thats missing is napapi so where do i go from here? I'm on windows 10pro 64.
-
What browser are you using?
napapi is a Java Plug In.
Use IE11 or FF ESR version of there browser.
-
Sorry, tried explorer from win 10 don't know what version that is? And firefox i haven't used yet. but will try it now:)
-
In IE11, check the add-ons with in IE11 for java for this plug in.
Be sure your getting the ESR version of FF, not the normal standard version of there browser.

Firefox ESR says while loggin in to my nas that connetion is not safe with padlock logo? How do i do it the safe way?
-
Add the exception...it's ok since your on the same network.
-
Okay, i'll try but forgive me, don't know much about these browsers:)
-
"Add the exception" where and how?
-
IS FF not giving an option to add an exception by chance?
Is the browser trying to use HTTP or HTTPS with the IP address of your camera?
-
I tried both http and https but same problem. And as mentioned i can not make the exception to work?
-
Might try adding to the either security preferences of FF or Advanced. Hmmm. Haven't had this issue. Possible older FW on camera doesn't work with newer version of FF ESR.
-
Maybe, but i'm lost and don't know how to mess around in certeficate and other settings? Should i try loggin in anyway?
-
Yes...wont hurt anything....

Did that, still no video previews :( Really really a bummer so what good are these cameras when i can use my diskstation surveillance app.
Any other options are welcome ;)
-
make sure Java is installed and the java NAPAPI plug in is seen by FF or IE11. And also enter in the IP address of the camera into Java's exception list as well.
-
I'll try just that ;D I'll get back later with the result :D Thank you very much for your help, FN.
-
I'll check with my 933L this evening as well. It's getting older now. ::)

Ok, here is what I get with my Windows 10x64 PC:
IE11 x32: (https://image.ibb.co/mt2J6w/IE11_Windows10x64_DCS933_L.png)
IT did asked me to install the video plug in that IE was missing. I installed it then closed IE then reopened IE11.
FF ESR v52.4.0 (32-bit):

This adds the exception to FF.
I had to update Java first.
Then use HTTP://IP address of camera.
I asked me to Activate Plug in on the video preview screen on the cameras UI, then allow plugin and remember plug in pop up.
