Title: D-Link DGL-4100
Post by: Sorsun on January 05, 2014, 03:01:17 PM
Prior to purchase, I need to know if this model:
1. Will work with Linux (Debian 5.0 or Ubuntu 9.04).
2. Supports 'jumbo frames' on its gigabit WAN?
I do not see either mentioned in its specs.

The 4100 will support all networking standards as far as any networking goes. Any applications specific to Linux would be the question as far as networking. As long as they follow networking standards, you'll be good to go.

I don't think home routers support Jumbo Frame and it's been recommended not to use it when connecting to most D-Link home routers. There is a information in the FAQ Library (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?board=304.0)
