Remote https management of DFL-2500 sometimes fails
« on: August 01, 2009, 05:27:45 AM »

I can manage DFL-2500 through https web from lan1 and wan1 interfaces.
- When I connect from lan1 it works Ok.
- When I connect from a computer connected directly to a swich where wan1 is connected too, it works Ok.
- When I connect from home, some parts of web-interface works Ok, but if I try to retrieve
list of services, I receive only partial list of defined services and the connection looks
very slow. Or, if I want to see a particular IP Rule, it take ages to load the page and
the page is not complete and I receive some popup dialogs:
"ShowTab() No pane found named paneLogSettings",
"ShowTab() No pane found named paneNAT", ...
"Error while evaluating condition: Action==NAT&&NATAction==SpecifySenderAddress: 800", ...
More or less 20 messages like that.

I was told that my colleagues can connect from theirs homes Ok.
I have found in DFL-2500 log:
2009-08-01
14:14:36 Warning CONN
00600012 LogOpenFails TCP wan1
 89.89.89.128
190.190.190.15 57239
443 no_new_conn_for_this_packet
reject
rev=1 protocol=tcp ipdatalen=20 rst=1

I have tried two different computers and three different web browsers.
What colud be the problem?

I would look first at the WAN MTU of your home NAT device, HTTPS sites coming through incomplete or erroring out are almost always caused by an MTU mismatch.  This would also explain why everything on your network has this problem and nothing on your colleagues networks do.
