Hard Drives Not found

Recently purchased 320-L, did installation and network setup without issue, but the device doesnt detect either of my hard drives (attempted to put them in one at a time and reversing slots, etc.)
Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM0003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB.

After looking around people mention lights referring to drives. Neither ever lights up. Only power light is lit.

Did you format the drives and choose the mode (JBOD, RAID0, RAID1)?
In the NAS, using Disk Management?
It might also help to remove all partitions from disks before inserting them into NAS, so the Linux inside can do it's own thing (GPT partition table, ext3 filesystem).
