Lost my installation disk
« on: September 18, 2009, 04:01:54 PM »

I lost my installation disk and I want to use my D Link DIR 655.  Where can I get the software to install the wireless router?

Thanks

Just log into the admin pages of the router and set it up there. The disk is not needed to do a setup.  if the router is still at its default settings then open an Internet Browser (IE, Firefox, whatever you use) type in 192.168.0.1 to the address line.  The default login is admin with no password.

The manual can be downloaded here:  ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/dir655/Manual/

I want to point out that there is a post, from D-Link staff, stating that IE (only) is the officially supported browser.
