Hey everyone. Just wondering if someone can guide me in the right direction. Wondering if WISH should be enabled, and if so, what should i have checked? I mostly play xbox live and surf the net. Also, a long time ago i was told to disable dynamic fragmentation for xbox live to work better, is this actually true? i have a 10Meg download, and 1Meg upload cable connection. Please respond, thanks everyone!!

Try testing with it ON and OFF. Most recommended is OFF.
Please review the link provided. Has all Info needed.
Keep us posted on how it goes. If you need more help, maybe someone can review the router settings with you using teamviewer.

why shouldnt WISH be used? just wondering. My xbox is hooked up wirelessly. Does it make any difference speed wise?

You don't want any un-necessary processing while gaming. You want the best performance that the router can provide either with Gamefuel or if your a single user on XBL with only one console online while all other devices are not accessing the internet while your gaming, then GF isn't really needed. Let the router handle the traffic for ONE xbox. Now if your xbox is online and you do have other users using the internet whie your gaming, then GF should be used.

There are three networks to consider when talking about your router; WAN, LAN, and WLAN. WAN is the traffic coming to and from your router to the internet. LAN is the traffic around your private network. WLAN is the traffic coming from wireless devices to your LAN. So just like GF prioritizes different traffic from LAN to WAN, WISH prioritizes traffic from WLAN to LAN. The thing about prioritization is if there is no bottle neck to begin with, it only makes it worse. Think of putting a traffic light at a intersection with very little traffic, it just creates traffic. Now if you had like 10 wireless devices all connecting at once, and you started seeing your connection rates drop, then yea, WISH can help. Otherwise it will just, as most observe, slow down your wireless.

As for dynamic fragmentation, it all depends on your upload speed, if you have less than 1 meg up, I would turn it on, if you have over 1 meg I would check it off.
I have 2 meg up and I noticed no difference with it on or off, however I left it off since my upload is pretty good I should never need dynamic fragmentation.
