AP Mode via Wireless
« on: April 09, 2018, 05:28:44 PM »

i have the DIR-890L HW:A2 FW: 1.20 can I put it in "bridge mode" aka AP Mode but connect it via wireless to another router or does it only work via Ethernet
The reason I am trying to do this is i live in a rural area where I have to use a MiFi device as my Internet, however i want to use my DIR-890 as my "router" that all my devices connect to so i can manage it there instead of on this MiFi device.  Thanks in advance and have a great day.

The 890L only support LAN to LAN wired AP mode. You can't use it as a wireless bridge with another wifi source.
This has a list of current D-Link routers that support wireless bridge mode:
Bridge Mode vs Relay vs Access Point (AP) / Routers vs Dedicated Access Points (AP)
