Connecting router to DIR-412
« on: July 15, 2012, 04:50:13 AM »

Hello,

I connect to the internet with a 3G dongle (moving it from PC to PC as the need be) so I got myself a DIR-412.

What I had in mind was, to have the 3g Dongle connected to the DIR-412 and a router (DIR-100) connected to the Ethernet port at the back of the DIR-412. This way I could have my laptop get Wi-Fi access and the desktops/VoIP device to connect to the DIR-100.

I can successfully get internet access on: my Laptop and at the same time on a PC directly connected to the ethernet port at the back of the DIR-412.
The problem is, the DIR-100 does not seem to be able to connect to the internet via the DIR-412.
Surprisingly, in the admin panel of the DIR-412, I can see an IP number allocated to the DIR-100, but cannot ping or access the admin panel of the DIR-100. The DIR-100 admin panel can be easily accessed if I connect it directly to a PC.

Any suggestions on how I can get this setup to work?
