I just got verizon and they sent me the dsl 2750b router. I am currently having problems adding my wireless photosmart d110 printer. Im using wpa2 shared key security, running 802.11b/g/n. Encryption algorithm AES. The printer sees the ssid, when I run the wireless network test report it says; Wireless on Pass, wireless working pass, network name (ssid) found pass, security pass, printer settings consistent with wireless router settings pass, No Filtering fail. Im not using Mac filtering so im not quite sure what the problem is. I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software to no avail. I called into hp tech support and they wanted to charge me $30 to fix a one time problem with my printer, and verizon tech support says call Hp tech support. It worked fine with my last router, it only went down when I started using the verizon modem/router. Im sure its just a setting somewhere, but I don't think I have to pay Hp $30 to find what it is. My OS is Windows 7.

Link>Welcome!

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.

What region are you located?

Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK  only or WPA only and Auto instead of WPA2.

Verify that the print supports various security modes with the Mfr of the printer.

Firmware vz_1.42  I currently have AES/WPA2. Its the same auth as my last router with Comcast and it worked then. I even tried no security just to see if it would hook up to the network and still got the same results.

I do other devices connect to the wireless on this modem?
If so, then I would presume that there could be an issue with the wireless on the printer.

You'll need to refer to Verizon for any FW support as they develop and use there own FW that is not D-Link proprietary.

Good Luck.

Yes, other devices do connect. The printer was connected to the network until I switched ISP's and got the D-Link Modem/router so I don't think its the wireless on the printer. Verizon Tech Support said they couldn't help me and I would have to Call HP, and they want to charge me $30 for a problem that might just be a setting switch. Thanks anyway.

If other devices are connecting to the modem and there printer isn't, then i presume there is problem with the printer. You might set the printer up for USB connections or if the printer has a wired LAN cable support, use that as the connection. You could also use a print server solution that takes the USB only device and sets up a wired LAN or wireless solution to interface with the printer and network. D-Link and HP has these print servers. A suggestion for resolution on this issue for your printer.

Good Luck.
