Basic email notification upon motion?
« on: February 28, 2012, 09:30:10 AM »

I don't use mydlink.com for any configuration — everything is set up via the web admin. I'm looking for a way to set up the DCS-932L to send a notification that motion has been detected only. I don't need attachments, etc., and I don't need an email every second while it's detecting motion. I tried setting it like this:

Enable emailing images.. = checked
Motion Detection = checked
Email motion frame immediately = checked

I was hoping to set it to an e-mail interval (300 seconds), so it'd wait 5 minutes before sending it again, but this isn't possible.

I don't want a full stream of events being emailed to me (I have FTP set up to store those files), I just need a simple notification of motion.

Any suggestions?

How about trying to text your phone by email.
You could delete all the emails if they are grouped
