Title: D-Link DSC 4603 and Synology Surveilance (NAS)
Post by: jstenbak on July 21, 2017, 04:26:13 AM
Hello
I'm helping a friend who bought a Synology NAS and 5 D-Link DSC 4603 cameras.
We have got an extra 5 camera license and we can find cameras in the list of IP addresses - fine so far - tests connection and it works - with image.
When we then choose to add the camera, it does not take long before we get the message that the camera is disabled ???

Are you adding these cameras in the NAS? If so, then you'll need to contact the NAS Mfr and ask them about how to configure the NAS and any troubleshooting problems seen in the NAS.

Only other items to mention would be that I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.10 and .11  DHCP (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=58017.0)

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=62395.0)
