Title: Upgraded firmware and now solid red light - camera won't boot
Post by: rentalagreement on July 10, 2018, 05:52:32 PM
Went to use the camera for the second time.  Went' through the firmware upgrade and now the camera just sits on a red light.  Nothing further.

I tried booting it holding the reset.  The orange light flashes a few times and then the light goes solid red.

What else can I do to try getting this thing to work?

Alright, after a bit of a lengthy chat with the chat support.  I learned how to do it.

1. Download the bin file from the support page
2. Copy it to a folder called 'upgrade' on the SD card then rename the bin file to update.bin
3. Start the camera while holding the reset button until the light starts flashing.
4. Wait until the light turns green and the Firmware has been updated

Yeah I was REALLY bummed there for a while and everyone was talking about hardwiring to your camera, so I thought it might just be done but NO it's BACK!  Woohoo!
