my hardware is DSL-2750B H/W T1 firmware AU3.08.
i tried to follow up the instruction on the dlink site to setup the DDNS on the router, opened an account on dlinkddns.com,
https://www.dlinkddns.com/howto
but when i entered required infor on the router DDNS page (provider, host, user/password etc), the DDNS entry still shows 'offline'.

Be sure you entered in the account information correctly in to the modems web page. No typos or errors.
Save settings then power OFF the modem for 30 seconds then power ON and test.

i tried above
ddns status still shows 'offline'

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

problem solved. :D
found this complete guide with pictures, https://www.keithrozario.com/2012/09/setting-up-dlink-ddns-unifi-router.html (https://www.keithrozario.com/2012/09/setting-up-dlink-ddns-unifi-router.html)
it seems that i need to enter the full link for host:
for dlinkddns will be: myhost.dlinkddns.com ;
for dyndns will be: myhost.dyndns.org
i only entered 'myhost' in the host field previously,
after changing to full path, now DDNS are shown 'online' in the router setup page
