Title: BINDERRO12
Post by: Indo_bladerz on March 08, 2016, 10:22:51 AM
Hello, i'm from Indonesia. Bought the DCS2630L in eBay.

So tried installing, without any problems until the last part: linking the camera to cloud, to my dlink account. It returned an error: BINDERRO12.

Called tech support. Problem is: item is not suitable / for use outside US (which is absurd). Gave me a workaround, that is to open port 80 on my router. Tried and didn't work.

Questions:
1. Will this restriction be lifted sometime in the future?
2. Can i get a refund based on this situatiin?
3. Any other solutions?

Need help, thanks in advance

So what did you do?  I'm not sure you set up port forwarding correctly.

Are you using a phone to try to access the camera?

What region are you located?
Only thing I can think of is that you didn't set a PW for the camera during setting.

I'm in Italy.

PW stands for password? I set a password.

My DCS-2630 works well in local way through dlink lite.

I don't see any support on the Italy D-Link web site. This model may not be supported in your region. I recommend that you return this model to play of purchase and get something from the following that is supported in your region:
http://www.dlink.com/it/it/home-solutions/view/network-cameras (http://www.dlink.com/it/it/home-solutions/view/network-cameras)

You'll need to try using it as is and know that the mydlink.com for your region wont work or try to sell the camera to someone in the NA region and then find a model that works for your region there. Sorry.

I don't know. Each region handles there own products and development. You could ask them and see if they would tell you or not.
If not maybe you can find someone here in the NA region to buy your 2630L.  ;)

I'll ask and see if I can find out anything. Can't promise anything.

I had the same problem, and contacted customer support. This is their reply that really helped:

Dear customer,
this error means that you bought this camera in other region than your orginal mydlink account so,
all you need to do is send a request form to migrate this camera to it. Better explanation in below forum link:

http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=52632.0 (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=52632.0)

and here is the form to fill :

https://www.sendspace.com/file/fy348s (https://www.sendspace.com/file/fy348s)

and send it to :

mydlinksupport@dlinkcorp.com

Best Regards,
D-Link Europe Tech Support

After having filled out this form, emailing it in and waiting for 12 days, I got the following response:

This is to inform you the camera have been assigned to the same server as your request.

Please Hard Reset the device by pressing Reset for 15 seconds to reset the server for the camera.

Then run the mydlink lite app to install your camera.

Thank you for your support to mydlink.

Following these instruction, my DCS-2630L is now accessible in the "Remote" tab of the mydlink Lite app.

Thank you for posting this information. It's good to know that D-Link will help in cross connecting these camera units to other MDL service regions.

Hope this helps future users.

So BINDERR012 is region problem?

Because I tried to add it to my new mydlink account and it works but when I tried to add my second camera gave me the same error again.
I Guess it explain why keep giving me error because of different region. Will Dlink migrate the region if we request to them?
Because I bought 3 DCS 2630l and have to use 2 diff account if I want to access them with my previous camera.

Thanks for the help

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I haven't contacted my local dlink customer support yet because they are not so helpful before.
Tried calling US technical support but they wont help because I am not from US.
Already emailed them let's see if they can migrate my device otherwise have to use 2 account for different region of camera then.

There's nothing we can do from this region. I would phone in and ask for help on this.

Hope something comes about for you.

Good Luck.
