DIR-880L compatibility with DAP-1650 repeater
« on: July 12, 2014, 01:57:27 AM »

A DIR-880L compatibility question:

Anyone know whether I can setup a DAP-1650 as a repeater for the DIR-880L on only the 2.4Ghz band and suppress the DAP1650 from receiving/sending on the 5Ghz band ?

Also, should  I set the same SSID on the DAP-1650 repeater or use something different ?

It should be, however you'll be reducing the connection rate of the 880L to the 1650 as it's max connection rate is 867Mb on 5Ghz where the 880L is 1300Mb.
