b. Advanced menu

- Users/Groups - in firmware 1.02 (beta 10) the "USER AND GROUP CREATION" and "GROUP SETTINGS" sections will not appear once set to Active Directory mode. However, in the firmware 1.02 (final official released), these two sections appear, thus making the page very long and meaningless since all options in the two sections are grey-out.

- Improvement Suggestion - The "USER AND GROUP CREATION" and "GROUP SETTINGS" sections should not appear once set to Active Directory mode.

- Users/Groups - in firmware 1.02 (final) with Active Directory mode, the "USER LIST" and "GROUPS LIST" sections are inconsistently named.

- Improvement Suggestion - The "GROUPS LIST" should be named "GROUP LIST" or the "USER LIST" should be named "USERS LIST".

- Users/Groups - in firmware 1.02 (final) with Active Directory mode, the "USER LIST" and "GROUPS LIST" sections would intermittently not show all the users or groups in tier-2 or tier-3 domains.

- Users/Groups - in firmware 1.02 (final) with Active Directory mode, the user names and group names are displayed in a weird format that there is room for improvement.

Examples:
Users
1. OPENSOURCEHUB: OSH+guest
2. OPENSOURCEHUB: AP+guest
3. OPENSOURCEHUB: LSZ+guest
Groups
1. OPENSOURCEHUB: OSH+domain guests
2. OPENSOURCEHUB: AP+domain guests
3. OPENSOURCEHUB: LSZ+domain guests

- Improvement Suggestion - The web GUI display of "USER LIST" and "GROUPS LIST" should be designed to cater for multi-tiered domains active directory environment so that it can better represent the tier that the domain is in.

Example: In the domains above, both AP and LSZ are actually tier-2 domains while OSH is the tier-1 domain (parent of AP and LSZ).

c. Maintenance menu

- Scan - Is there any particular reason why after a scan, the NAS is required to be restarted?

d. Status menu

- Device Info - With the Network Type set to Active Directory, the device info section in the Status menu still shows 'Workgroup:' instead of 'Domain:' or 'Realm'.

- Improvement Suggestion - If the network type is set to Workgroup in the Device section under the Setup menu, then this field should show 'Workgroup:' and the associated workgroup value set. If the network type is set to Active Directory in the Device section under the Setup menu, then this field should show 'Domain:' or 'Realm:' and the associated realm value set.

e. Support menu

- Device Settings | Active Directory - The 'Administrator ID' portion does not match the actual Device section of the Setup menu, which used 'Username'.

- Device Settings | Active Directory - The 'Administrator ID' portion should be described in more details. It is not necessary to use the administrator account. A dedicated application account can be created and assigned administrative rights.

- Device Settings | Active Directory - The 'Administrator Password' portion does not match the actual Device section of the Setup menu, which used 'Password'.
