(Help wanted) D-link cascading routers
« on: May 24, 2016, 04:28:58 AM »

Hi there! I'm new so please bare with me. I have a PLDT Fibr modem, I can configure it by going to the ip address via my computer, it is connected a Tenda router that I can configure by going to the ip address, later or, I connected a Dlink DIR-600 to the tenda and connected my laptop to the DIR-600, however, I do not know how to configure this router, I tried going to,,, and cannot find the configuration page of the DLink router. What I am trying to do with this router is change the password and SSID, however, I am unable to since I can't find its IP Adress/Gateway to configure it. Any suggestions? I'll take any.

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

I recommend if you already have additional routers, that you set up the 600 as a wired AP: Turning a router into an AP.

D-Link routers have an default IP address of You'll need to change this to something that doesn't conflict with your current IP address configuration. Try for the DIR-600. Then set up as a wired AP.
