Title: Problems with the card and the drivers on 802.11ac network
Post by: MasterDangel on June 10, 2018, 01:15:46 PM
About 8 months ago, I purchased a new PC for myself with this card. To my dismay, it has latency issues when I connect to my home network via 802.11ac, but no such problems occur on my 802.11n network on 2.4GHz. In addtion, in order to rule out default windows driver as issue source I tried installing the drivers in DLinks website, however when I install the OFFICIAL drivers for this card, the problems become much worse with windows outright resetting the adapter when connecting to the 5GHz network, and again no problems with 2.4GHz. Using Windows 10 x64 with the problems persisting in versions 1703, 1709 and 1803.

What version of drivers did you install from D-Links web site?

What is the Mfr and model if this PC?
Did you disable any PC security software to test?

What is the Mfr and model# of the main host router your using?
What wireless modes are you using?
What wireless security modes are you using?
What what channels are you using on the router?

Other experiences with the adapter and Windows 10:

Tried both 1.02.B01 (ftp://ftp2.dlink.com/PRODUCTS/DWA-582/REVA/DWA-582_REVA_DRIVERS_1.02_B01_WIN7_WIN8-8.1_WIN10_86_64.ZIP) and 1.05B01 BETA (ftp://ftp2.dlink.com/SECURITY_ADVISEMENTS/DWA-582/REVA/DWA-582_REVA_DRIVER_PATCH_v1.05B01_WIN_BETA.zip) taken from D-Link support (https://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DWA-582). I am located in Israel. The PC is custom built, with an MSI Z270 Gaming Pro motherboard, and an Intel Core i7-7700k. I only have windows defender, and I tried disabling it, to no avail.
The router is a V-Tech IAD604, which as far as I can tell is exclusive to Israel. Again, tried 802.11n on 2.4Ghz, no problems, but 802.11ac 5GHz is almost unusable. Both are protected with WPA2 and fallback WPA, no WEP or WPS. I am using channel 40 with 40MHz channel width on the ac access point, because 80MHz is also giving problems.
Also, I already looked at the other topics here, but none of them describe my problem.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this.
Link> Tech Support Contact Information (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?board=635.0)
We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
