Skype is finally ruined, the news about PSN being back up by may 31 are not true at all, I do believe Sony said that they are hoping to restore the full network by the end of the month, the online portion and chat features will be the first one to come up, they posted today and said in a few more days. Also yea I read about the hackers plotting another attack :( they will fail :) Also what’s wrong with this year? So many hacks already, Last pass was hacked, chrome, two others of my favorite sites and play station.  :o OMG  :o

Thats the bad thing about outsourcing your programming. Its really easy to find out the vulnerabilities and exploits of the systems out there. And with everything being in the cloud these days, once your in, its hacker heaven. A good hack still takes a lot of skill. Not that I am supporting the motives, or ignoring the consquenses, but need to give credit where credit is to. Besides, these days most "hackers" deamed in the press are just script kiddies and copy pasta monkeys, AKA Crackers. People who break into system for nothing more then personal gain or havok. A hacker is someone who looks for new ways at looking at technology, taking apart code to learn how it ticks. Until Sony confirms that the credit cards were stolen, I wonder if perhaps Sony just over reacted to someone breaking their pathetic security, and they just shut it down out of incompetence. That third attack was just copy cats, and it failed because they blabbed on a public IRC? Come on. I don't buy it. And then when Sony shut the servers down, they posted data that was obtained from a contest years ago which could have been stored on a 3rd party public server? The whole thing just seems off.

I was thinking the same, I didn't believe Sony got hacked, my thoughts started when Sony said they were migrating there servers to a new location that has been in process for quite a while. Come on! I think this was part of there new plan, migrate and frame the hackers at the same time. I do believe when PSN comes back up it will have a bunch of new features and capability. "Crosses fingers"

Anyone else with me with Sony removing the wireless adapter from the PS3? Too many people have no idea how to set up their network, end up with crappy wireless connections, and ruin perfectly good games. Trying very hard to fight off the nerd rage.

Good news is PSN is up. Bad news is I don't see much of a difference.

I really think that any gaming should be done over wired connection. Wireless just introduces to many variables and possibilities of lag and problems for achieving a good gaming experience. My 2 cents.

What about them just setting a limit?  Have a program that tests your wireless connection and if it doesn't meet spec then you're not allowed to play?  Could that be done or would it not make a difference?

Most of the time when you have a wireless adapter the signal is stable and the speeds are good, but when you begin playing they drop and can become unstable. Usually it starts in the transfer process, they can make the program but I think it eon't be very accurate at best. This is just me basing it on personal experiences.
