Hi,

I need to block incoming traffic with Dlink DIR 600. I know how to create the rule source (WAN) to destination (LAN) to deny all protocols. But what IP will I put in WAN? IP address of my Internet? Or how can I enter the ALL IP range in source...format for the IP (it's not 0.0.0.0).

I want to do this because in the DIR log section I'm being PING Flooded. I already un-check "Enable WAN Ping Response" but still receiving the message.

I think you would put in the ip address being reported in the logs where the pings are coming from.

just curious what is the version of your firmware (below 2.06?)

why?...i notified same issue when i use uTorrent (ping flooding attack) when i have installed 2.05 (and bellow), i guess dir600 wrongly detect as ping flooding traffic from uTorrent (download on computer was ok).

Later i installed 2.06 (not because of above mentioned reason), looking in tab "Status" i never seen "Ping floding attack"...i presume D-link "fixed" (one of) bugs....?!

It's possible the pings are being mistaken for an attack. Have you set up any inbound rules for uTorrent and the ports it's using? Might help this here.

i didn't set any explicit rules...from the beginning when i bought router uTorrent worked fine.

i have set MAC filter on for my PC & laptop + DHCP with IP's for those two machines
