dcs-935L firmware recovery / incorrect wifi password after reset

(1/2) > >>

happyhere:

is there a firmware recovery for dcs-935L? no sdcard and no ethernet port

I did a factory reset and now it is saying incorrect wifi  password. firmware is 1.10
The default wifi password is the one written on sticker at the back of camera and is not working.

FurryNutz:
Do you have the original installation card with would have the setup PW on it? It should be the correct PW to use in the Home app to set up the camera.

yes, I have the original installation card with QR code too.  The card matches the backside sticker on 935L.

1. Reset camera using paper clip. (10 seconds while powered on)
2. The adhoc "dcs-935l-xxx" will broadcast.  It is saying "incorrect password"
3. One thing I noticed, the LED stays red and never goes green.
4. Pairing via WPS doesnt work too.

seems bricked as LED stays red all the time.

I just found this support page for firmware recovery.  Not straight forward for 935L :(

FurryNutz:
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email. If your located in the USA, there is 24/7 chat support as well.
Let us know how it goes please.

Red90:
Yes, it is a major PITA.  I had the same thing happen with the last firmware.  I reset it a hundred times and finally, it let me log in an adjust settings.  They are not very well designed.
