Link Aggregation - Trunk
« on: December 16, 2009, 08:52:15 AM »

Hi,

I have two DGS-1224T and I would like to link them using a two port trunk to get 2 x 1 Gb capacity.

I went into the web interface, and created a trunk in each switch.

Each trunk has two ports: 23 and 24.

A RJ45 cable is connecting port 23 in switch #1 with port 23 in switch #2, and the same for port 24.

This is all?

Is there any way to check the trunk is really working?

I look at the port statistics and port 23 is getting much more packets than 24 (like 10 times more). This is normal?

Or they should have aprox. the same traffic?

Thanks in advance,

That should be all, I believe this switch may handle trunks as "spillover" interfaces.
