We need to know the model number and the following information to better help you...If you can provide we will try to help you as much as we can:

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
What ISP Modem make and model do you have?
If this modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems. If your on DSL and you bridged the modem to the router, did you enter in any PPPoE acct information into the router for this mode of operation? Most DSL systems need PPPoE acct information to be able to connect. Call your ISP and ask them for help on the modem.

Are you wired or wireless when connecting to the router? Try both ways to connect.
Factory reset the router.
Setup the router using the routers web page at 192.168.0.1.

I see, thats a DLink modem I believe.

It has a DMZ, if you can't get your ISP to bridge the modem, you could use the DMZ to input the IP address your external router gets into the modems DMZ.

I presume you have the ISP modem and a external router?
Do you get connected to the internet if you directly connect a PC to the modem?

Need to have your ISP check your modem. If the modem isn't working then either modem might need to be reset or signal going to the modem isn't working. Call your ISP first.
