Wake On Lan
« on: August 11, 2009, 02:30:12 PM »

My name is Parker and I am trying to set up my home computer to Wake On LAN for work purposes. I thought that by enabling a virtual server on port 9 UPD would do the trick but it didn't work. I have a on board Nvidia chipset controlling ethernet on a MSI KN92 SLI Platinum board. The BIOS is up to date and the S3 configuration is working. My Ethernet is set to receive the "magic packet" but it does not always work. In fact it only works right after I put the computer to sleep. I am using a wbr-2310 with 1.04 firmware if this helps. I think it may have something to do with the arp cache but I dont really understand the concept behind. If you have any information or suggestions please let me know.
