Can I use the 855 as WIRELESS AP ?
« on: October 23, 2011, 08:50:07 AM »

I have read f.i. this: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=37708.msg122857#msg122857

But don't get anything to work. Is it anyway possible to use the DIR-855 as WIRELESS AP?

I'v just received a WiFi Modem from my accessprovider (Ziggo in NL) and now want to use the Dir-855 as WIRELESS AP in my studyroom, so I do not need to use cabless.

I would be preferred to use the 855 as a wireless router has it has better features and options then some ISP devices.

You can use the 855 as an AP however. It should work. You are not connecting anything to the WAN internet port on the back of the 855 are you?
