Copying Folders With Spaces In Names => Corrupt
« on: August 08, 2009, 11:54:07 AM »

Hi,
I am copying lots of old files over to my dns323. I have noticed that some folders aren't copying correctly. Folders containing spaces show up in the destination directory of the nas, but they cannot be opened or deleted.

Copying Using: Cobian Backup 9
OS: Windows XP Pro SP 3

DNS 323 Firmware: 1.07

Renaming source files would not be ideal.

Suggestions appreciated.

The files you are having this issue with are being created and stored on the NAS by Cobian Backup 9?

It looks like that software uses some type of file security.

Try enabling Map archive for the folder you are storing the backup files in. This setting is under Network Access.
