Title: External hard drive ejecting when I try to read/write
Post by: mnbeowulf on December 06, 2014, 11:56:24 AM
Hi Everyone,

I have the external hard drive showing up in finder using Shareport.  It shows up fine with the correct name and format. When I try to copy even the smallest test file over to the hard drive it stalls out on "estimated time remaining" for 5-10 minutes and then I'm told that the disk was not ejected properly.  Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jon

What model router do you have?

What OSX version do you have?
What version of SP are you using?

Have you factory reset the router and set up from scratch to see if it fixes this?

Possible that your FW is out of date. You could upgrade to v2.03 first and see if it resolves your problem. The most current and last version is v2.11.
