I am trying to use my dap-1360 as a repeater, i can see it but i can't get my iphone or blu-ray player to connect to it, it works fine with my laptop. I disabled encryption on my main wifi router (netgear DGN2200 v2) and everything works fine, but obviously this isnt an option. I have tried various channels and replcaed the settings on the DAP-1360 but it seems the problem is the wpa2-aes encryption is not working properly...

Link>Welcome!
  • What Hardware version is your DAP? Look at sticker under DAP.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DAPs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Wireless Configurations
Links>Wireless Installation Considerations and Managing Signal Congestion

  • What wireless modes are you using on the main host router?
  • 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz routers: Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N on 2.4Ghz and single mode N on 5Ghz?
  • Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only on the main host router.
  • Try setting a manual Channel to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear.
  • What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto TPIK and AES on the main host router.

In repeater mode, if you use the DAPs on board wizard to connect to the main host router, the DAP will and should connect automatically to the main host router and what ever security mode it's configured for. There shouldn't be any configurations on the DAP as it should get wifi configurations from the main host router.
