Title: Camera keeps getting disconnected
Post by: interconnect on November 18, 2013, 11:05:32 AM
My DCS-942L keeps getting disconnected from my wireless network and hence can't connect via myDlink.  It apparently doesn't reconnect either, as it is currently disconnected.  I don't have any issues with my wifi; all other devices connect fine (and stay connected) and have a very strong signal as the router is just one room away.  I am running the latest firmware version (v1.22).  Anyone have this issue or any ideas?  I didn't have this issue before the latest update.

If you haven't already done so, try rebooting your router.

Which router?

Does it stay connected if in same room close? What about if wired?

Yep, tried that!

Go into your router and clear it from the DHCP list to see if that helps. If not there is something wrong with the cam. Return it.

The router is an Arris supplied by my ISP.  I haven't tried it wired because it's in another room (room right next to router).  I have tried rebooting the router/modem several times when this has happened before and it still keeps getting disconnected somehow and strangely doesn't reconnect... it keeps recording though!  Rebooting should clear the DHCP clients list/table.
