hello everyone!

basically i have the need to set a password for a specific inbound filter i've aleaty set. why that? the app inside my netword who is bound to that port doesn't manage very well the log in and password prcedure. that means that any time i connect to my application from the outside f my network the app shows me the log in panel BUT even if i try to login with totally wrong password it leaves me enter the application anyways and that's very bad. unfortunately i didnt make such application so im not able to fix such problem. so i was thinking if there was any chance to set a password in the router any time someone want to access the specific port i set into my router, willing for a beter log in management by the router.

There are no password options available on data traffic and data flow on any network. There are passwords on connecting to networks and wifi networks. These are standardized platforms which most mfrs must adhear to when producing network equipment. Some routers can manage traffic for QoS and inspect the traffic for security reason like Firewalls. You might seek a 3rd party application to see it you needs can be handled at that level.

got it! i can set some parameters for the inbound connections such as allow connection onl for specified ip addresses but of course that's not suit my needs. i think i've no other solution but trying to find a different software without that bug for my ip camera. can you imagine... i've this ip camera which you can connect to it from the internet and it work fine. it also has a log in windows which allows you to log in with different users but it realy doesnt work at all. if i mistake either the psw or the username it logs in anyway basically allowing aybody who knows my current network ip addres to do my business xD
