What WebDAV client software are you using?
How are you managing versions?
can you explain what do you mean by "What WebDAV client software are you using?"
i have a clear firmware software and i have installed minidlna, elfinder, java7, java8, perl, phpmyadmin, blog and oscommence.
i also have dynamic DNS set up.
should I instal something else to get WebDAV working?
if yes could you let us know.
my NAS 320L is running on firmware version 1.08

OK, WebDAV client software is the software you run on your computer to connect to the WebDAV server on your site.
Remember the definition and what it does: WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) allows you to upload and download large files (over 200 MB), multiple files, or folders of files to your site more easily. In other words it is a tool generally used by companies to share and keep track of document, program and other large files as well as the various versions of those using a web based interface.
For home use FTP and SFTP is usually a much better alternative.
Some examples of WebDAV client software :
For Windows http://www.bitkinex.com/download (http://www.bitkinex.com/download)
For Linux, Mac and Windows : https://cyberduck.io/?l=en (https://cyberduck.io/?l=en)

i know what you saing, but our problem is that our webdav server on our dns 320l doesn`t work.
it seems to be switched off, and even after swiching it on in settings it doesn`t respound- webdav can not to be turned ON on our dns-320l.
it looks like NAS doesn`t keep setting.
I`m a new user of NAS and i`m a begginer so i might be wrong.
when i reset my NAS i can get webdav server activated but after some time that little icon it is gone/missing and i can not to activate it again.
i`m too dump for this :P and i need to get some more experience on linux as well because i did not had any chance to work on it before.
thank you anyway.
P.s is there any chance to get in to some kind of LOG file on NAS to check what is happening with it.

As a suggestion, you might ask someone to remote in to a PC with you using teamviewer.com (http://teamviewer.com) and see if they can help you check the configuration of the DNS...

I have exactly the same problem. I try to activate NFS or WebDAV for a selected share (for instance Volume_1). I select NFS and then press finish. When I check the share, NFS IS NOT selected!!
Is there any solution?
-
What web browser are you using? Try a different browser, FF or Opera and see if the selection remains.
Review the user manual for information on how to activate these features...
-
I am using Firefox and Opera. I still cannot select NFS and WebDAV. When I setup the NAS for the first time (JBOD) I tried it and the selection remained. I then transfered file to Volume_1 from my PC. I had some problems with FTP so I tried to modify the share settings. I noticed that NFS share was uncheked!! I tried several times to re-select NFS but when I press finish and check it is unselected....
-
Possible that what you changed may caused the feature to be not supported now or something in the change effected it and now its' not working. I would review the changed you made and see what happened. If it was working before and changes were made, something is keeping these features of being enabled.
Might do a factory reset and start again as last resort.
-
I tried a factory reset, it did not solve the problem. The only thing it did was to format the disks and set them up again as JBOD. I then retransfered data and enabled NFS to the share. But when I tried to modify the share again, NFS was disabled again and it cannot be re-enabled... Format is not a solution...
-
What was modified in the share? What was the configuration of the Share before modifying it?
-
The only thing that changed was about FTP sharing. Anonymous was none and then after was set to read only. Everything else remained the same. I pressed finish button and NFS share was un-selected. I tried to select it again and pressed finish button again, nothing changed. NFS share still un-selected.... Really strange!
-
Id go back and undo what you did to see if you can get the features to work again, sounds like there maybe something not supported after the change you made which is keeping the webnav and nfs features disabled.
-
This is very strange because I did exactly what you specify. I then reselected anonymous as none (FTP) but nothing changed. Still NFS share disabled for Volume_1...
-
I have reported that a long time ago and it seem like no one can fix this.
-
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Not sure if this helps, but look at the Application Management menu and make sure NFS Services ,AFP Services and/or Multimedia Services, are enabled, if you are trying to use these services. ::)
-
Thanks for the information and feed back. Hope it helps.

I had the exact same problem. After countless tries (including several firmware re-installs), finally solved it by uninstalling elfinder... hope it helps someone.

Thanks for the information. One thing to try as well. Be sure to un-install any add-ons prior to setting up the DNS. Get it set up first using factory defaults. After the DNS is fully set up, then install add-ons.
Hope it helps future users.
