3g modem supported with DIR-855
« on: December 14, 2010, 01:43:08 AM »

DIR-855 with latest firmware (1.23WW)  :P
Tries to use a HUAWEI E1750 3G modem as internet connection but the router will not use the modem.  >:(
E1750 has firmware 11.126.07.04.000 and the PIN-code is de-activated.
Is there is a list which 3G/4G modems are usable or is there activitiy for making new modems to work with the DIR-855 ?
E1750 modem works perfectly in my linux-laptop right beside the router.

I'm disappointed 3G support was removed by the firmware update,

Firmware   1.20   5/14/2009
¤ Remove 3G feature (not a supported feature by North America ISP).

I hope they will bring it back soon in aces, with 3G/4G support.  I would prefer this over a MiFi 2200.
