  • StreamBoost™ is effective for traffic shaping to all connections to the router: Ethernet, Wi-Fi (any standard) or even power-line connections that are connected through the Ethernet port. StreamBoost™ can even connect to another router, but that router will have to operate in bridge mode to get the full benefits of StreamBoost™ . StreamBoost™ does not, however, recognize if a specific connection is degraded, like a Wi-Fi connection with weak signal, and cannot protect a connection if there is insufficient bandwidth on that link. StreamBoost™ assumes that all connections have sufficient bandwidth to support the active applications on that device.
