I don't know, I've haven't tried to shutdown/restart and not access the NAS interface..
Been using the latest Mozilla version..
Already relocated the NAS to a different network outside of the office, same thing happens..

Honestly, looks like this is dead.. And this is pretty annoying since the device is not that hold (probably doesn't have 3 years yet)..

Try accessing files with out accessing the UI to see if it works that way. If it does, I would recommend getting ALL data off of it to a back up location.
Not sure if D-Link has support for this anymore.

I am a little suspicious of the temperature.  You say it is about 116F which is about 46.6C which is very close to the maximum recommended 50C for SATA hard drives, it also means that the temperature inside the box is higher.

It could be that some of the NAS circuits are heat sensitive which forces a section of the circuitry to shut down.  To check that just remove the outer casing and see if that changes anything.  I have seen the symptoms you describe with a DNS 320 that was out in an industrial workshop bay (backup for the CNC machine tools).  Since we couldn't change the network and NAS position we added a larger capacity fan.

Testing with the case open would also allow you to see if the fan is actually working.

Hello ivan and thank you for your input.

When I suspected high temperatures I did not try without the top cover, but I did set the fan to HIGH.
Fan was clearly working.
The problem remained.
I will try without the top cover on, but honestly I highly doubt it will make a difference.
