Title: Cannot set to DHCP client
Post by: Mikemorrell2 on August 26, 2018, 10:24:45 AM
Before I switched routers, I had my old router set to reserve a pan iPad based on MAC address.  I got a new ISP and the IP address range is no longer within that same range and I’d like to change the 323 not to be static and just be a dhcp client.  But in the settings, every time I try to save this, it keeps going back to the fixed IP address.  It won’t allow me to change to dhcp.  Why?

Try a factory reset on the DNS and set up from scratch? Or Set the IP address pool on the new router to match what was used before on the old router?

Also check that your new router isn't using IPv6 addresses that the NAS knows nothing about.  If that is the case you will need to set the router to internal IPv4 addresses (some routers you can set to do so others you can't).
